Offer Management User Guide

Offer Management section allows merchants to:

  • Create tailored EMI offers with customizable tenures and interest rates.
  • Manage and track EMI offers seamlessly through the merchant portal.

Glossary

Interest Charged by the Bank
The total interest amount imposed by the bank on the customer for EMI as a payment option.

Interest Borne by Merchant
The portion of the bank’s interest that the merchant agrees to cover.

  • In a No-Cost EMI plan, the merchant agrees to bear 100% of the interest, allowing the customer to pay only the principal amount.
  • In a Low-Cost EMI plan, the merchant covers part of the interest, reducing the burden on the customer.

Interest Borne by Customer
The portion of the bank’s interest that the customer agrees to pay.

  • In a No-Cost EMI plan, this is 0, as the merchant covers the full interest.
  • In a Low-Cost EMI plan, the customer pays the difference between the bank’s total interest and the portion covered by the merchant.

Get Started

  • Pre-requisites for using Offer Management
    To start using the Offer Management feature, ensure the following requirements are met:\
    • EMI Payment Method enabled with your Payment Service Provider (PSP):
      • This feature will only be available if EMI is enabled as a payment method with your PSP.
      • If EMI is not enabled, please contact your PSP to activate this option.
    • Feature Activation by BoxPay Team:
      • Once EMI is enabled with your PSP, contact the BoxPay Support Team to enable the EMI Offer Management feature for your account.
  • Access the BoxPay Dashboard
    • Ensure you have the necessary access to the BoxPay Dashboard.
    • If you don’t have access, contact your admin or the BoxPay Support Team to get it set up.
  • Login to Your Account
    • Go to the login page by clicking this link: https://merchant.boxpay.in/
    • Enter your email address and password.
    • Complete the two-factor authentication (2FA) by entering the 6-digit OTP sent to your registered email.
    • Navigate to the Offer Management tab in the side navigation bar.
  • Having Issues Logging In?
    • If you’ve forgotten your password, click on Forgot Password to reset it.If you don’t receive the OTP or face any other login issues, contact BoxPay Support for assistance.

Note: The feature will not be live until all steps are completed. Ensure you coordinate with your PSP and the BoxPay team to get started.

Steps to Create an EMI Offer

Step 1: Offer Details
  1. Create a New Offer: If no offers exist, click on Create No or Low-Cost EMI to start creating a new offer
  2. Fill in Offer Details:
    • Offer Title: Enter a name for the EMI offer (for internal reference).
    • Offer Start Date and Time: Specify when the offer becomes active.
      1. Start Immediately: Tick this checkbox if you want to make the offer active immediately. 
    • Offer End Date and Time: Set the expiration date and time.
    • Minimum and Maximum Order Amount (Optional): Define the range of order values eligible for the offer. If left empty, the offer will be eligible for blank all order amounts.
    • Terms and Conditions: Enter key terms and conditions associated with the EMI offer. (for internal reference and this will not be visible on checkout page)

Step 2: EMI Plans

  1. Add EMI Plans:
    • EMI Options: Choose either Credit Card EMI or Debit Card EMI.
    • Issuer Bank: Select the bank offering the EMI plan.
    • EMI Tenure: Select the multiple tenure options provided by the banK for which you want to offer any EMI offers.
  2. Select EMI Offer Type:
    • No Cost Plan: The merchant bears the full interest charged by the bank; the customer pays no interest.
    • Low-Cost Plan: Enter the portion of interest the merchant bears; the remaining interest will be charged to the customer.

Step 3: Overview

  1. Verify Offer Details: Review the summary of the details entered in Steps 1 and 2.
  2. Create the EMI Offer: Once confirmed, click on the Create EMI Offer button to finalize.

Post-Offer Creation Actions

After creating an offer, you will be directed to the Offer Management Summary Screen, where you can:

  1. View all created offers in a table with the following columns:
    • Offer Title
    • EMI Option
    • Offer Validity (Start and End Dates/Times)
    • Offer Status:
      • ACTIVE: The offer is live.
      • INACTIVE: The offer is disabled.
    • Actions:
      • Edit Offer: Modify details except for the Start Date and Time.
      • Enable/Disable Offer: Toggle the status of the offer.
      • Delete Offer: Permanently remove the offer.
  2. Search Offers: Use the search bar to find offers by typing the Offer Title.

⚠️Important Guidelines

  1. Ensure all required fields are completed accurately to avoid errors during offer creation.
  2. Interest rates and EMI plans vary by bank; verify the charges before finalizing the offer.
  3. Changes to an offer’s Start Date and Time cannot be made after creation.
  4. Inactive offers will not be displayed to customers at checkout.
